Lullaby

Lullaby by Kyle H. Peters is a beautiful new piece for solo marimba. Written for a 4.3-octave (low A) instrument, it evokes sweetness, beauty, and determination by way of modern 4-mallet techniques and a contemporary harmonic language.

Its lyricism is not achieved through rolling or sustained figures, but rather, nuanced and well crafted interplay between the hands that, when played well, will look effortless, despite the skill needed to communicate the music.
