Isaac Pyatt (b. 1996) is a percussionist, educator, and composer based in Lexington, Kentucly. He serves as percussionist for North Carolina-based contemporary ensemble Catchfire Collective, and performs regularly with Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Western Piedmont, Fayetteville, and Salisbury Symphonies. A fierce advocate for new music, he has premiered over 25 new solo & chamber works in the past five years, as well as numerous regional premieres. He is a proud member of the Black Swamp Educator Network.
He has professionally performed alongside Michael Burritt and Bryce Dessner, and collaborated with Music for a Great Space, Mallarme Music, Blue Mountain/Forecast, and Elon Contemporary Chamber Ensemble. He can recently be heard on Nathan Hudson’s Music for Falling and Flying, available on Neuma Records. Isaac is currently a Doctoral Teaching Assistant at University of Kentucky.
