Dr. Mark Berry is Professor of Percussion at Western Kentucky University.He performs as Principal Timpanist with Orchestra Kentucky, a position he has held since 2002.As a soloist, Dr. Berry can be heard on the Equilibrium, Soundset, and Centaur record labels.His percussion compositions are published by Bachovich Publications, C-Alan Publications, Honey Rock Publishing, Living Sound Publications, and Tapspace Publications.Dr. Berry’s research has been published by Europeana, Percussive Notes, and RIdIM. He works as a triangle iconography cataloger for Repertoire Internationale d’Iconographie Musicale (RIdIM) and also curates The Triangle Research Hub database.Dr. Berry is the owner and craftsman at Living Sound Triangles.He has earned degrees from the University of Michigan (DMA, MM) as well as from The Ohio State University (BMusEd).
This is a progressive solo work for steelpan, crotales, digital delay, and pitch shifter. Over ten minutes long, this work is performed completely in real time and loosely depicts a journey through ones imagination.
