Neeraj Mehta's (b. 1980) work spans contemporary art, jazz and world percussion music. He has worked with many notable musicians in both the contemporary jazz and classical world. He is a leading performer, researcher and advocate of Danish composer Per Nørgård’s music. Performing on marimba, he has also appeared as concerto soloist with the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra. Neeraj frequently gives performances, lectures, and masterclasses as soloist and as half of the duo Percunova with Jonathan Ovalle, and with Ensemble Duniya. Neeraj is deeply thankful for the friendship and support of his colleagues, and forever grateful to his wife Preeti Shah for her love and support, and he looks forward to finding inspiration in her and their families to continue making music, advocating for music education, and sharing positive musical experiences with his students.
