Dr. Tyler N. Tolles (b. 1990) is a percussionist with the United States Naval Academy Band in Annapolis, Maryland. In addition, he also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Alabama where he teaches vibraphone/applied lessons.
Dr. Tolles is originally from Monterey, California, where he made his earliest debut performances at the Next Generation Jazz Festival and the Monterey Jazz Festival. He was actively involved with Drum Corps International performing and touring with the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets and the Santa Clara Vanguard. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the University of North Texas, as well as two Master of Music degrees and a Doctor of Music degree from the The Florida State University under the tutelage of Dr. John W. Parks IV.
Prior to joining the US Naval Academy Band, Dr. Tolles was a percussionist in the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West stationed at Travis Air Force Base, California.
