Dr. Alexander Singer (b. 1983), a native of Oregon, is an award-winning international percussionist, educator, author, composer, and clinician.As a prolific musician, Dr. Singer has worked with several notable large and chamber ensembles, performed on studio recording sessions in Los Angeles, and won Third Prize in Solo Timpani at the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) Italy International Percussion Competition.He taught at Citrus College, was the Assistant Professor of Percussion at Soochow University in Suzhou, China, and currently works as an Orchestra Teacher for LAUSD.As a devoted contributor to the musical community, Dr. Singer has a passion for research, writing, and collaborative service.His work includes an educational grant, compositions, published articles, and master classes. He holds a D.M.A. in Percussion Performance from the University of Southern California as well as an M.M. and B.M. from the University of Oregon.
