Danny Raymond

Danny Raymond (b. 1964) enjoys a varied career in the world of percussion. He was a member of the New York Skyliners Drum Corps as well as instructing or consulting with such organizations as the Syracuse Brigadiers, Carolina Gold, Boston Crusaders, and the Santa Clara Vanguard. Danny is a two-time Drum Corps Associates Individual Snare Drum Champion (1989, 1990).

In addition to his teaching, writing, and judging, he was very fortunate to have been a Walt Disney World Cast Member for over thirty years! His Disney career includes performing (drum set, marching), writing/show design, and Casting Associate. Danny was recognized for performing twenty-five years with the popular group JAMMITORS, a group he co-founded. He has also performed with The Hollywood Hitmen, Hollywood Brass (The Studios), and helped create and perform with the award-winning entertainment group Green Army Drum Corps (The Studios).

His published work includes written articles as well as music. He is very proud to present his various solo, ensemble, and duets available through Tapspace Publications and Alfred Publications.

Since relocating to Holland, MI in 2022 with his wife Cate, Danny also enjoys performing as a freelance drummer (Jazz, Rock, Blues) in the Western Michigan area. His clinics and performances have seen him travel throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, and Canada, performing with percussion greats such as Danny Gottlieb, Evelyn Glennie, Zoro, and the late great Joe Morello.

Danny is a proud endorser of Pearl/Adams, Vic Firth Sticks and Mallets, Zildjian Cymbals, and Remo Drumheads.
