David Nelson is the Director of Sales and Product for Ludwig Drums, a brand of Conn-Selmer, Inc. David has extensive experience in both the percussion and music education fields. Before joining Ludwig Drums, he was the Director of Bands at Lake Central High School in St. John, Indiana.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. He has been active as a music arranger, designer, and instructor for the past thirty years and has worked with many top high school bands and universities across the country and overseas.
David is a former member of the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps and has been a designer/arranger, instructor, and/or consultant for many drum corps including Colts, Boston Crusaders, Glassmen, and the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps.
David currently resides in Waxhaw, North Carolina with his wife Heather and his children Zachary, Emma, and Abigail.
