Ian Briskey (b. 1991) studied percussion performance and composition at Indiana State University under Dr. James Finnie. Former teachers include Chris Hodgson, Brian Blume, Jason Hammond-Wood, Ralph Hardimon, David Reeves, and Kevin Welborn.
A graduate of Center Grove High School, Ian had the privilege of being educated by Josh Torres. In the Drum Corps arena, Ian was a member of the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2010–2011. He also spent one season with Evolution Indoor Percussion and was a founding member of the Indianapolis Colts Drumline.
As an educator, Ian has worked with numerous schools in the Indianapolis area, including the 2013 IPA Open Class gold medalist, Decatur Central High School, and served as the Director of Percussion at Zionsville High School from 2012–2013.
Ian lives in Bargersville, Indiana with his wife Alicia and their two children.
The percussion quartet offers a fun challenge with its extreme dynamic ranges, demanding rudimental control, and ensemble timing and blend.
