Expedition

Expedition is a terrific balance of technical skill and musical accessibility. Throughout the piece, Peters utilizes a highly coordinated effect between the hands across a variety of techniques, including double and triple laterals and rapid single independent strokes. Weaving the player through various harmonic centers and time signatures, Expedition is both a great challenge and joy to play.

Expedition is playable on a 4.3-octave (low A) marimbas and works well as a short feature piece for concerts, auditions, or technical study.
