Leventikos

Leventikos by Christopher Gable is a joyful marimba solo based on a traditional Macedonian dance rhythm which alternates between 9/8 (2+2+2+3) and 7/8 (2+2+3). The entire pattern adds up to 16 eighth notes, providing fun polyrhythmic and cross-rhythm possibilities. It requires a 5-octave (low C) marimba and good proficiency with four-mallet technique.
