Pathfinder
for percussion ensemble
Pathfinder by Brian Blume is a percussion ensemble work for 11–13 players that captures the spirit of exploration and discovery. The piece unfolds in sections that reflect preparation, setting out into the unknown, the joy of new experiences, and the determination to push through challenges.
Scored for mallet keyboards, timpani, and a range of battery percussion, Pathfinder also offers flexibility with optional triangle and woodblock parts and the ability to double keyboard lines to include more performers. Its approachable scoring and uplifting character make it an excellent choice for developing players, giving young percussionists an opportunity to build ensemble skills while engaging with a meaningful musical narrative.
This piece ships as a fully bound score or as an instant PDF download for printing or tablet viewing. Individual parts come exclusively in PDF format.
